
Robo Dictionary

Motor- Robot motors enable a robot to move. Without a motor our robot would not function!
Servo- A motor that is very weak and can only turn to 127 degrees to -127 degrees.
Torque- Torque is a measure of how much a force is acting on and which cause the robot to rotate.
End-Effector- The hand or the fingers of the robot. In charge of picking things up.
Arm- A part of the robot that can lift, turn etc. The end-effector is attached to the arm.
Base- The core of the robot that stores the memory and is the main attaching part.
Gatekeeper 2013- Our mission this year.
Robocats- Our improvised team name.
Robotics- Technology that is used to design, build, and operate robots.
B.E.S.T.- Boosting Engineering Science & Technology.
Strategy- Determines how to approach each challenge and which parts of he challenge are the easiest to do and most reasonable.
Our Fundraiser- Selling hex bugs.
Hex Bugs- Bug robots with touch sensors.
Breast Cancer awareness- Our service Project, where we cut out ribbons and post them around our school. We will have a jeans day where you must pay money if you wear jeans, which goes to the Susan G. Komen foundation.

L.C.I.S.~ League City Intermediate School. We made a clever twist on it and turned it into Logic Circuit Integrated Squad.
Drivers- Teammates who drive the robot.
Programming- The team that programs the robot to do the missions. It tells the robot where it should go.
Book- Shows our progress.
T-shirt Team- Makes the t-shirt logo and design.
One Gate to Rule Them All- A parody of lord of the rings and also our catchy slogan for our t-shirt.
Community Outreach- We visited Stewart elementary and gave them tips about their mission Natures Fury.
