Hello there visitors! Thank you for visiting The L.C.I.S. Chronicles! L.C.I.S. stands for Logic Circuit Integrated Squad, which is a clever twist of our school League City Intermediate School. In the Chronicles I will tell you what we've been doing so far in robotics! Its an amazing journey and experience. On this week we still had not found out our mission, so we went through all the safety and building procedures. After, we found out what different tools did and even got to practice test them! This Saturday we went to kickoff where we found out our mission, which was Gatekeeper 2013. In this mission we had to do three missions, CPU, IC, And Gates. Read About Best to find out more about the mission! On themonday we came back we started to talk about the teams arm, base, endefector, and strategy. The day after we talked about the sub teams like fundraiser, presentation, t-shirt, website, booth, and the trolley and robot ops. Then we split in to teams. 

 

 

Week 2

The next week we did a rough paper pencil plan, and the following afternoon the arm team built a prototype, while base planned out what to do to connect everything to it since its the core of the robot. Programming figured out how much the robots endefector could turn which was 127 degrees. Our amazing strategy team figured out what the robot should do for our mission. We were excited and couldn't wait for the next week!
